Cummins Premium Blue Restore Gen 2

So after I'm done the VPBR I'm currently running PP Euro 0W40 in my tuned 350 HP Fiesta ST that I beat on daily but am wondering if switching to an HPL product would be advantageous and which one you gurus would recommend. 3500 mile changes.
Thanks!

If you’re insistent on maintaining 3500 mile oil changes, no, there’s no cents (🤣) switching to HPL unless you just enjoy lighting a Jackson or two on fire every 3500 miles. If you’re interested in not getting under the car that often and at the same time keeping at a bare minimum the same or better protection, then yes HPL has something for you.

I use the PCEO and/or No VII 5w30 in my tuned 500+rwhp F150 3.5, so I would suspect that’s plenty of protection for your engine as well. Shoot @High Performance Lubricants a PM to see what he would recommend!

They claim that they engineered this to clean "just the right amount" in one oil cycle so as to not overcome the capacity of the oil filter. I think I'd run a short cycle to be on the safe side. Maybe 5k miles at most.

You’re referring to the newer Valvoline Restore and Protect.

That’s a completely different product than the Premium Blue Restore, which Valvoline worked with Cummins to formulate to clean up diesel engine piston rings.

@fbdewar Mind sharing where you were able to obtain the VPBR Gen 2?
Called Cummins N.A and ordered over the phone. Only way to get it. They sent the wrong oil the first time and sent PB One Gen 2 because most of them don't even know PBR exists so make sure they are sending the right one

Honestly I think they took the R&D from the restore and applied it to the R&P in lower concentrations.

No sir, I'm talking about the Valvoline Premium Blue Restore. Lake Speed Jr. did a whole video on it in collaboration with Valvoline lab engineers.

Unfortunately, I cannot find a place to BUY this oil anywhere!!
