Actually, QSUD has the lowest calculated kinematic viscosity figures at cold temps. RamFan has miscalculated the figures. I'm not sure what viscosity calculator he used but the Widman Calculator generated a figure of 2902cSt at -20C.

But this shouldn't be surprising as the QSUD 10W-30 has the highest VI at 162 of all the 10W-30's in the comparison.

I'd also like to point out that the Edge 5W-30 may not be the lightest oil in this test. It doesn't have the highest VI, in fact it has the lowest at 169. Since we don't know the HTHS vis of the Castrol oils you can't conclude just from it's kinematic viscosities how it actually compares to other oil brands. The 5W-30 oil with the highest VI is again QSUD at 173 and not looking at the HTHS values that's the oil I'd say has the best low temperature performance in this group. If someone wants to provide the HTHS values then I could say definitively which is the best performer.

The calculator I used was the one on this website. Here is the link: http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/cms/index....8&Itemid=79

And after looking at the numbers and cross referencing with with the Widman calculator, you are right I miss calculated the values. I'm going to go through and make the proper corrections to Ultimate Durability's values.
