Saw this at the local dealer and made the mistake of stopping and looking at it. 2008 STS, 1-owner. Timing chains replaced by dealer
Like new inside and out, runs smooth as a sewing machine. The color is what Cadillac called "Sunset Blue" and depending on how the light hits it can look blue, bronze, green or gray--or any shade in between.
My initial impression of the GM 3.6 DI vs the Chrysler Pentastar that was in my 300:
1. The GM engine is noisier at idle--probably because of the high pressure direct injectors clicking.
2. The Pentastar is smoother at idle.
3. The GM engine has better low end torque.
4. Both engines equally smooth above idle, tip in, and cruising.
5. GM engine has a much more throaty sound at WOT.
6. Pentastar much better MPG.
