Crocs & socks

I've never tried genuine Crocs, but do have a couple pair of the Nautica croc style shoes. I wouldn't say I'm crazy about how they fit, but I do love the convenience of them. I rarely wear socks with them, not because I care what the self proclaimed fashion police think, but because I am often wearing the crocs because I am going to get wet from washing a car or such, so I don't want wet socks.

People are far too concerned about what others think of them.
100% agree. I have absolutely no use for people who worry about the style, or lack of it, of how others dress.

Unlike most here, I'm old enough not to care what people think about what's on my feet.
Congratulations!!! You are part of the fashion liberated people.

Wear what you want, where you want, when you want. Real men know who they are well enough, to not care what others think of something as unimportant as how you dress.

I was told the OG Crocs were made from a material formula that resisted odor - then went cheap and China …
My daughter gets the Bistro - which has a bonded sole that is not slippery when wet …

@Pablo. Hilarious!

When I see a fellow in Crocs I automatically think: “ This is a serious man, not to be dealt with lightly“
Well, you know he's not too concerned with what some strangers think of them! The few guys I know that do wear Crocs regularly, they aren't looking for trouble, but they don't shy away from it either. Mostly trades guys that have to wear steel toes all week.

Dress crocs to church is an interesting look though, can't say I've seen that one before, but whatever works for you is fine with me.

Friends don't let friends wear Crocs in public . Yes I have a pair I was given and they stay in the back yard or close to the trailer when traveling.

@Pablo , $95 boigie Crocs? And Bombas to complete the look.🫣
Never in public, but these Keens are the most comfortable thing I've had on my feet short of two Asian female hands.

I have some Keen boots and Keen sandals too.

So I reserved the right on my lunch break to look at this objectively for the BITOG crowd. I would not want to lump you into the normal Croc culture but I stand firm with my prejudices.

If you leave the house in Crocs(socks added even worse) knowing you may entire a shopping center at some point...your are trash. I akin this to wearing pajamas in public view. You knew exactly what you were doing and should be judged accordingly.

If you let your children go to school in them, you are in effect the worst at parenting and shouldn't be responsible for even a pet rock. This is the downfall of society.

I would also emphasize that if you care so little of your appearance to the general public and have such low self-esteem isn't that what Instacart is for?

Ahhh crocs, I also have indoor and outside crocs. In fact, i have a pair just for cruises. However, I don't wear socks with them because my wife or daughter would kill me and hide the body.

I wear Crocs mostly. Some lined and some regular. I buy a lot of Bomba socks.

If I wear Bomba socks with Crocs (lined or regular) the sock heels always wear out.

The socks are fine with shoes.

I bought some Crocs about 3 years ago in Caribbean because the shoes I had were tight and had a blister starting. I have basically not taken them off. I have several pairs.

Am I the only one with this issue.
My Wife would say you are NOT alone, She gives me a fit when I run out the door with my white socks and crazy old pair of Crocks... She thinks I'm make kinda some old man fashion statement but its ALL about Convenience, just slip them on and run!

However, be CAREFUL as those painted lines in the Walmart parking lot become slick as glass in rain to Crocks, last thing I remember is seeing my feet higher than me head!
Also, at the RV car wash. painted steps when wet , add Crocks... Feet higher than head again...

So as far as I know Crocs were cool again last summer. I have a 19 yr old niece and 21 yr old nephew who actually talk to me and keep me somewhat relevant. But only cool for kids. Pretty much anything the over 40 crowd wears is not cool anyway.

My crocs get beat up in the yard. As others have said, good for yard work or pool work. Caution though, they provide less than zero protection. How can it be less than zero? Rocks and nails can imbed in the soft foam, and poke through the foot bed with each step going deeper.
