I wear Crocs mostly. Some lined and some regular. I buy a lot of Bomba socks.

If I wear Bomba socks with Crocs (lined or regular) the sock heels always wear out.

The socks are fine with shoes.

I bought some Crocs about 3 years ago in Caribbean because the shoes I had were tight and had a blister starting. I have basically not taken them off. I have several pairs.

Am I the only one with this issue.

Croc brand...no. Generics, yes.

For some reasons, Crocs have become associated with the "Soy Boy" generation.
It's mostly an image thing. People are far too concerned about what others think of them.

If you like them, wear them.
I wear them inside the house, but will not wear them while harvesting prize parts in the junk yard. Leather boots in the junk yard.

Way better than crocs. Keen. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CNG152H1

I have outside crocs and inside crocs.

I usually don't where socks unless its a little chilly.

I wonder if the number in the bottom of the unlined croc wears on the sock? The rubber element make sense too since in the shoe, the sock slides better.

Two things
1. Just a comparison question:
You mentioned Bomba Socks.
Get a pair of Gold Toe Socks and see if they wear out the same way.
In my experience, Gold Toe brand socks have always held up.

2. Years ago I got a pair of sandals and my older sister took the initiative and preemptively railed at me to NEVER wear socks with sandals.

I own one pair of Crocs.
I use them for one basic purpose, working in the garden.
Very practical because the dirt/mud can be rinsed off them. Easy peasy.
On occasion, I may deploy them in a supplementary task, such as taking the trash to the curb, or a basement run.
As a publicly displayed fashion statement? Never.
