Crescent versus Craftsman

I doubt the new one will be made in the USA. I'd buy it anyways as you need it.
I can still track them down via ebay if I need to replace them. They'll probably want a fortune for them. Not sure why ebay is like that. I bought a bunch of the old style gas cans for $40/ea and later found they sell on fb marketplace all day for $10 😭

I have a lot of Made in the USA Craftsman tools. The new Craftsman tool line sold at Lowe’s is made in either China or Taiwan (they source from both, depending on the tool). They’re merely OK if they’re Taiwanese and complete Junk if they’re made in China. It’s convenient to shop at Lowe’s but I think there are better choices.

If I wanted reasonably priced tools, and you don’t care about country of origin, I would go with Tekton. Taiwanese, or USA, made, depends on the tool, but they are all sold at a good price, and of excellent quality.

If you want truly made in the USA tools - Williams. Just be aware that some of the product line is made in Taiwan. When you look at the part # - if it’s all numeric, that’s Taiwan manufacture. If it’s alpha-numeric, that’s USA made.

It's been my experience that Taiwan made tools seem to be very good
