Could someone recommend a OCI for me?

Mobil 1 5w30 in my 4.3 silverado 91K miles

I drive only 6 miles a day. For 2 months a year i drive 50miles a day.
I drive easy, only up to 3K rpm. Engine does get up to temp every time i drive.
I was thinking once a year? 5-6K miles. Any input would be appreciated.

5000 OCI or annual, which ever comes first.

Its more than the engine, its the transmission and exhaust that need to get hot. Want to burn off condensation everywhere.

I'd say 1 year, no matter the miles. Mobil 1 holds up well long term

YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR OIL EVERY 3 MONTHS OR 3,000 MILES, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST!!!

But seriously, once a year sounds perfect - even if you have to stretch it to 6,500 or 7,000 miles.

Are we talking about M1 5w30 SN? If so, how does your engine 'like' that variety?

Whenever the change oil light comes on. I think your truck has the OLM.

If it doesn't come on after a year, then just change the oil at the 1-year point.

I have used the mobil 1 5w30 SN in my truck, ran good with it. Doing a cleanup/flush right now with HDEO, MMO, and Seafoam. Gonna run that 1000 miles than put M1 back in.

One year or 5-6K. Perfect.


+1. Even if you increase your annual mileage to 10K, for you a 1 year OC will work well with M1 .
