Costco is offering 6 quarts of Mobil 1 for $26.99 with free shipping. ($10 dollar rebate). Limit 5 and ends the 24th.

I'm new to the synthetic game - but seemed like a good price.

sorry mods - wrong forum - please move - apologies...

It's a great deal and why I'm running it in my Jeep, otherwise I probably would have used my go to oil - PYB. This is the first OCI I've used synthetic so I'm new to the game too. It takes 6 quarts so it worked out

Went to O'Reilly and bought a Wix, they got the used oil.

I bought three cases in warehouse and am going back for 2 more today for use in my new CX-5. I bought a 6 pack of oil filters so 5 cases of Mobil 1 will give me 6 oil changes....reviews on the oil are excellent!

To Chester11 and dishdude: Since it's your first time with synthetic oil you MUST check your oil level often.

It's common for engines which have been running conventional to consume synthetic oil for a finite time.

If there's no science behind this caution of mine don't think about it.

JUST CHECK YOUR OIL LEVEL OFTEN. Me and my friends have all experienced this phenomenon. If your engine consumes none (or no more than usual) you have nothing to fret.

ps disdude. parts stores WANT you to bring them your used oil. It helps mother Earth and brings you into their store. You used a laughing emoji as if you got away with something. Kira

Is the deal for walmart extended even allowed for the rebate? It is technically a roll back according to walmart and mobiles website. If it is not then I want to go clear them out.

Also as for Costco, is that actually a good deal? Seems like it is cheaper than 25 for 5 quarts but 27 for 6 doesn't seem like anything amazing...

Costco's 27$ for 6 quarts is AFTER the rebate. = 4.5$ a quart
Walmart 25$ for 5 quarts is 5$ per quart but after a longer rebate process = 2.6 a quart

Plus doesn't walmart have deals all the time? Just not sure how it works out to costco winning. If someone could show the math then I will order a bunch of these from them! (I have a membership and love costco)

The Costco deal is in store and comes off at the register, you then take the MIR and get a better deal than WM.

$36.99-$10-$12 =$14.99 for 6 qts or $2.49 per Qt.
