Costco drop Mobil 1?

Wonder if Kirkland synthetic poached too much sales at price point M1 couldn’t compete?

I often found Costco sold M1 in quart bottles and I think the case was 6--making the cost on sale way more than Walmart in a 5 qt jug

Not me, I use Costco strictly for the 2 premium cars, top tier and cheapest.

But in the setup where I go, it's full service only (New Jersey), and there are tons of cheaters when it's crowded. They bypass the line and to your point, Costco does nothing. Not only that, some members pump their own gas and drive away--that's imho bad and against the law. And they turn a blind eye.

Perhaps switching to another national brand name oil producer. They've been known to do that in years past with Formula Shell absent.

I just bought Mobil ️ for $2.59 - so fuel prices are not why I used to shop at Costco …

I found it handy to have six packs compliment the Walmart jugs - but not the end of anything big …

Kirkland is good oil at great prices when on sale

Even without sale its good, $36 for 2 jugs is a regular price here. Sale is a bonus.
Its the same as supertech. I wish Kirkland also made high milage version like Supertech.

Costco here seems to get oil, sell out then restock. They will have mobil1 and their brand only. Then the mobil1 sells out and the shelf is empty a couple of weeks before they restock again.

I wish they carried other brands.
