Costco drop Mobil 1?

I wonder how they can continue to claim all those approvals, licenses and specifications? Those have gotten more stringent "over the years". A real mystery I guess.

Our '06 Acura TSX has had a steady diet of M1 5w30 at 5K (or less) OCIs. 233K on the clock and does not go through a drop.

Costco is full of Mobil1 here in Houston
I've used M1 oils since 1978 and have not found your claim to be true. It fact todays M1 performs as good or maybe better than any I've used. That's my experience.

I buy M1 EP @ Wal-Mart cheaper than the regular/generic M1 or whatever M1 they sell at Costco.
I never bought any M1 at Costco and only buy Kirkland Full Syn 5W-30 and in old days Chevron Supreme for iirc about $2/qt. when on sale.
btw, my engines lasted a very LONG time on Supreme 5W-30 syn-blend and Supreme 10W-30 dino. Couple of the cars are still running fine (over 250 & 320K miles). Short OCIs baby but don't tell anyone!
Costco dropped Mobile 1 ... that is Verizon Mobile. They only have AT&T in my area. In old days, they had at least 2 options.

Yeah, just like walmart with price per qt. In fact, in walmart you can get pack of 3 of 5qt jugs for even less per qt

Maybe it's regional, for me Walmart online brings up $43.48 on sale vs Costco $31.49 on sale for 6 qts 5W-30 AFS. The 5 qt jug is $27.97

$68.88 for 15qt, or $4.59 per qt, but Costco deal (including rebate) is $5.24/qt
