Cost aside, what oil would you use?

I would use Mobil 1.

Why?

It is widely accepted to provide decent performance, may be not the best, but very, very good performance across the board.

It is also available in a wide range of viscosities to fit just about every vehicle on the market, and it's availability cannot be beat.

I'm sure I'll use M1 again, for all the reasons you mentioned Critic. I'd like to test the Amsoil against M1.

I would like to try Elf. Has a great reputation and I like their customer service. Motul would also be on my list.

If all the oils out there were the same price. What oil would you use? Forget the old Mobil 1 formula.

Redline
GC if it met the proper xW ratings for the vehicle
Amsoil

So there's my quick 3 picks. Not necessarily in my order
of preference.

If cost were no option I would use one of the foolowing: Redline,Motul 300V,#@$%! Titan, Torco, VP Raceing, or Amsoil Series 3000.

A custom blend by TomNJ, GC, and Amsoil.
