So 230+ Model S cars corrected and coated here at {non site sponsor info removed} we are getting to be kinda famous! In fact this car was actually driven over 800 miles to the shop to be worked on. The owners wanted the best so they were willing to take the trip and stay in a hotel while we worked our magic! I was feeling awfully flattered by this, so while I never don't exceed expectations I wanted these people to not recognize this car when they picked it up. Challenge accepted!

This is a very common sight on the big Navi screen in Tesla's all over CA and apparently in some parts of the country!

877 miles on this brand new car! 800 of it and a couple charging stations later they arrived!

800 miles and the trip was obvious! bug killer!

Under the dirt I could see some buffer marks...

The trip had left the car covered in dirt.

Like a lot of customers this one was not educated on how easy it to scratch paint. He actually had went around the car and drew the Tesla emblem in each door and on the hood. I of coarse gave them a crash coarse in paint care after we go done!

After I washed and Decon'd the car this is what I saw...

Some one was having trouble keeping their pad on the paint?

Fast forward a couple days and almost 30 man hours later.. It was kinda cloudy so here's some done pics in the bay with my sun gun!

The gloss was simply incredible! It took multiple compounding steps to get rid of the deep buffer swirls and haze left by the untrained detailer. End results were just jaw dropping, my Iphone pics do no justice!

Looks absolutely fabulous! Is owner going to put the car in a truck to take it back 800 miles? Or is he going to drive the car all the way home? Are you going along the ride to spiff it up when it reaches there :)

Beautiful! What do you charge for your full detail job? Is this done due to the fact that the factory retail store does not have this done prior to delivery? Perhaps Tesla picks up the bill. Details please.

30 hours on a new car and multiple compounding steps seem too harsh on a new car that probably had it's clear coat severely diminished. That would be my main concern is how much clear is remaining.

Thanks everyone as for pricing it wasn't to bad! And We take measurements as we go average paint lvl around the car when we started was 130~ Average when we got done it was almost the same. Smart compounding with proper tools you really don't remove much paint. And we applied Opti Coat Pro when we were done so it added 1-2~ back. I'm sure you could still safely wet sand that car with 1500 grit if you wanted to with out compromising the clear. And did you see the horrific wool compounding swirls on it? Some paint and body expert apparently was in a hurry to buff out the sanding marks after painting the car...

You need to explain the following given this was supposed to be brand new car as you stated in the original post.

Where did "painting the car" came from?

It is not uncommon to see some unusual sanding marks on Teslas.

The rotary holograms on this car were probably from someone who had previously detailed it.
