Coolant recommendations for 2004 Lexus V6, please

For what it's worth I used Toyota red then Toyota pink for several hundred thousand miles in both my old Sienna and the ECHO. But for at least 100K now I have been using Zerex Asian Vehicle, mostly because it's available at Walmart and I didn't feel like driving over to a dealership for the Toyota branded coolant. It's been a few years and so far both vehicles are "fine" with the Zerex coolant, just as they were with the Toyota fluid. No deposits that I can see and no weird failures.

I would read the manual as to what flavor it takes.

Far as Toyota saying red and pink can be used together/interchangeably, why the different color AND formulation?

Idk. But my experience is that they have been interchangeable, at least for the many years and miles I’ve used pink in old Toyotas.

No they are not the same chemistry. Read it on here the other day.

So you are saying Toyota just changed colors for kicks? What pink color additive is cheaper/better than red?
No, I meant that Zerex Asian is the same chemistry as the Toyota red LLC. The pink coolant is superior but is less available. Toyota says the pink and red chemistries are compatible, but if you mix the two, you need to follow the shorter change interval of the red coolant.

Toyota Red is concentrated, has to be diluted 50:50 with distilled water.
Toyota Pink is already premixed and can be used straight from jug.

Presumably Toyota felt that not all were diluting correctly or not using distilled water as recommended and hence possible adverse effects down the road. Maybe they felt that premixed is easier for consumers.
Color difference likely to distinguish the two products apart.
My guess.
