I like a tubular mag as I can add rounds as I fire them. You can't do that with a mag fed shotgun.

Not sure that is legal here in Iowa...we have shot limits and plugs ;-(
Well I wasn't thinking bird hunting. But of course you need to follow whatever your local laws are.
