HD Shotgun?

My 590 absolutely will not run mini shells without modification and they don't appear to run standard shells with the mod in place.

Good to know, that can be a deal breaker for some. Maybe the newer ones are different.

Beretta 1301 Mod 2 for the win (if you have the money) . Pump shotguns require practice as in a high stress situation as pump shotgun owners short shuck or forget to even rack the slide after firing during a high stress situation . An auto feeding shotgun IF reliable solves that potential forget to rack the slide moment . The three most reliable auto shotguns are : Beretta A300 Ultimate Patrol , Beretta 1301 and Bennelli M4 .

A Mossberg 500 Pump Combo wood furniture would be a nice package : 18” HD cylinder choke barrel + a 28” field threaded choke barrel offered as a kit for less than $500 .

is that the LCO? Amazing dot, might be one of the best I’ve used( and I’ve tried a dozen or more when I was big into competitive shooting) but almost never see them because of the price and they were never really marketed well. Now discontinued.

It is the LCO - a great optic, but with a retail price of $900+ I reckon they didn’t sell a lot of them. Sorry to see them discontinued.

I bought a second one just because I like it so much.

I used Leupold’s “pro” discount - LE/first responder/military - to get the LCOs, which brought them down a bit, but they were still quite expensive. The discount used to be really generous. It is a bit less so now, but still much cheaper than any retailer of Leupold.

I’ve bought a couple of Delta Point pros, and a couple of scopes, through that program. I have a Patrol 6HD 1-6 scope, for example, that I really like.
