didn't read all the posts, but why not follow the dodge engineers advice and stick with with 5-20 wt. why take a chance on screwing up the mds? i know my truck will never be economical, but that doesn't mean i don't want the best mpg possible. thicker oil will screw up the mds.

It is a complete fallacy that thicker oil will damage anything. If you mean it will affect its operation negatively you may be right if referring to fuel mileage. But nothing is damaged in any way, even with 10w-40! It just changes the way MDS operates.
