Conventional to Synthetic?

Synthetic and syn-blend oils are so incredibly cheap nowadays, I don't see any reason to use conventional anymore, even for 5k services. (Yes I know these are not "true synthetics" such as your addictive Amsoil but still the performance standard is there.)
Also there is no reason to use high mileage oil unless the engine is showing symptoms that could potentially be addressed by a HM oil. In other words, just because an engine has achieved "a certain mileage" is NOT a good reason to use a high mileage flavor.
