Conundrum.

Im currently running Schaeffers 7000 5W20. My last UOA is here.
As you can see I had some factors that I think played into it being shot so soon. Anyway, Im going to be taking a ~2500 mile trip and Im right at 3000 on the oil. Do I change before or wait until after..I suppose I could take a oil change with me and do it once Im down there, but that will be about 1100 miles in.

Take the trip, on your return home drain the oil when its nice and hot!

Well based on you last UOA the extra 2500 miles would be pushing it, but I guess this cycle is totally different driving conditions? If I go on a long highspeed trip, i like to have fresh oil in and be ready for any kind of hard driving, or for nothing else peace of mind.

Totally different, yes. That was in the dead of winter 2 miles back and forth to work with lots of idling. So far probably half that 3000 is highway. Although it sits in between, so the mileage rate a month is same, or lower.

I'd take the trip, considering the easy on the oil highway miles.

This Sunday I will be leaving for Florida with the Fusion. There is 4000 miles on this OC and I won't be changing until I hit 10,000. If you are using dino you might want to change.
