Backstory here. My wife’s 24 Altima came with hankooks and they were horrible. So bad that the dealer diagnosed her car @ less than 1k as having a bad wheel bearing, the dealer replaced both in the front, the noise was still there. I kept saying tires, the tech kept saying no. @1k I got fed up and had the local tire shop put on pure contacts. Not the sportiest of tires like pilot sports or pro contacts but her car is an SL, so it fits the luxury look. First impression when leaving the shop was THANK GOD the noise is gone! Second impression was wow, dead silent, tracks straight as an arrow, soft yet firm in cornering and got better when broken in, but, let’s see in 10k. Her car sets at 12k and I had them rotated for the second time yesterday as well as the alignment checked, everything was in the green and of course I keep the tire pressure in check. I noticed on the receipt that the shop had noted all the tires were @ 10/32nds. No way, I thought? I got home and checked all four with my digital and manual gauges and sure enough…10/32nds! This tire isn’t spoke of much on here but I can’t recommend it enough. Still as quiet and comfy as new, fuel mileage is as advertised if not a little better than nissan claims. I’ve ran this car to the east coast a couple times so have some windshield time to make a true assessment. Not the cheapest tire price wise but not cc2 territory either. Definitely a sleeper tire.

With my 2015 Altima SV(sold in '23), I had looked into(not the PURE CONTACT) but the Continental TRUECONTACT TOUR as they met my ride & quiet criteria along with other foul weather factors as well. I also looked into the Bridgestone QuietTrack & Pirelli Cinturato P7 A/S PLUS which I ended up with due to a huge rebate and TireRack discounting their price in my size and several other sizes. All are good choices!

I’ve got Bridgestone turanzas on my 21 Altima. I wasn’t looking for Bridgestones as much as Bridgestones found me. My 21 is an SR, so it takes the same 19” tire that our 24 takes, and they aren’t cheap. I ended up paying $600 out the door at Walmart and couldn’t be happier with them for what I paid. They aren’t wearing as well as the pure contacts but I can’t say I’ve ever had a tire show no wear @11k either. If only the pure contacts had a little more of a low profile look I’d consider them on my SR. I think I’ll probably end up with DWS or pro contacts when the time comes. No way I’d pay normal prices for Bridgestone. I’m actually driving the 21 to NJ next week for work and am anxious to see how they do going through the Allegheny’s. The pure contacts did excellent.
From anyone on the forum that doesn't list their location, when discussing tires, I'd like to know(not where you live) but, what is the climate you live in and foul weather you experience. What tire works for you may not for everyone even as good as that tire may be.
I have a similar story; my friend's '19 CR-V EX-L came with Hankooks. When they got tired, we used the Conti's...
OMG what a difference! If I were Honda, I would use these tires as OE because the ride, etc, makes the CR-V a much better vehicle.

I’m a big fan of Continentals. Have had several sets of dws, dws06 plus and Conti snow tires on various vehicles ranging from the 911, bmw xdrive to suvs. Very comfortable ride, good traction, and mileage. Not as crisp handling as Michelins I’ve had, but I like the ride better for road trips and daily driving.

Everyone rips on Oem and I guess I get it. But, my 09 Altima came new with Continentals and I got almost 70k out of them and were one of the best sets of tires I ever had. I got into a Michelin kick the last 10 yrs but have started going back to Continental after a less than stellar experience with cc2s. I had primacy’s before those and while they were everything you could ask from a tire, they just wore out way to fast. Not a good deal on a tire that only had 8/32nds from the factory.
My "Pures" on my 2019 Altima 2.5 SL AWD have an average of 6+/32nds at 27k miles. Still quiet and straight as an arrow with no alignments, and rotation every 5k miles. I live in The Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia where we have Dolly Parton roads (hills & curves) and a 1/4 mile of straight flat roads is a rare find. Temperatures typically run from 5° to 90° with occasional snow and ice storms. Paid ~$190 each complete about 2 1/2 years ago.
I'm no tire expert, but between the roads and AWD I think I'm doing pretty well with these and am quite happy with them.

Awd and mountain driving versus flat Ohio and FWD is a big difference. You should still get 50k out of them and I wouldn’t complain a bit.
Outbacks used to come with Bridgestone Turenzas. Drove my 2006 Outback straight from the dealer to the tire dealer.
How bad was their reputation? The set of four sold as new takeoffs for $100.
Hope so. And these Altimas are real pretty cars! Mine is trouble free at six years old and 60k miles, as was my last Altima.
Altimas are good looking cars. Not used to seeing one with all its wheels, windows, and bumpers though.
I’ve always felt you get a lot of car for your money. The engines are darn near bulletproof. They come stock with akebonos, they’ve got a ton of room and are very fluid. Yeah, the cvts of old were like a glass slipper. But, every maker has an Achilles somewhere.
My wife’s 2021 Altima SL has Continental Control Contact Tour A/S tires. They are a great tire for that application. Approximately 5000 miles on them and no complaints so far.
I had a brain fart. The Altima SL is a 2019 FWD 35000 miles on car and approximately 5000 miles on the tires.
I just ran to NJ and back on my turanzas. 1300 miles round trip, 100 degrees and according to my guage, I still have the 8/32nds I left with. If the pure contacts were a 10, I’d give the Bridgestones a 9.5. So far they’re really impressing me. And I’m not a Bridgestone guy.
