It's a 4.6 V8. Mobil's website recommends Mobil 1 0w-40 for this application, so I'm guessing the base requirement is ACEA A3, but that's just a hunch. Based on this though, I would run Pennzoil Ultra 5w-40 in both cars.

Then Pennzoil Ultra 5W-40 or Mobil 1 0W-40 for both vehicles, whichever is cheaper and that usually is Mobil 1 at typically 6 bucks/qt on sale.
And both would be preferred lubricants to the heavier, lower VI Rotella T6 for the Land Rover.

Yeah, good point. I think he's quoting two cases (12 quarts), but that's still $7.5/qt. Not cheap when you consider some retailers sell Pennzoil Ultra 5w-40 for $6/qt. Working for Shell, I'd expect to be able to get it for $3-4/qt tops.

I mean, heck, SOPennzoil UltraS was giving away cases of this stuff for free last year. You'd figure they'd give a good deal on it to its own employees...
