Congrats to AMSOIL for achieving the impossible

Others do similar to what is being debated in this thread about Amsoil. Schaeffer currently claim that their Supreme 7000 oil meets ACEA A1-2, A3-02 and A5-02. Pennzoil states that Platinum 5W20 "meets engine protection requirements only" for ACEA A1-02 and A5-02.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Specific specs and and maxumum amd minimum limits exist for a reason. Does, 0.1 make a difference? Maybe not, but you gotta draw the line somewhere and stick to it for consistency's sake.

ACEA A3 oils show usually much better oxidation stability than ACEA A1 oils.

But Amsoil is just soooo much easier to skewer. Fun too....and remember, never say anything "bad" about Schaeffers

! (Pennzoil is fair game, though

Personally I share Mori's viewpoint. IF I ran Amsoil I would have it straight as possible ASAP. Now this does NOT mean I agree with the method motor oil is specified, and I hold VW/Audi in contempt for using absolutely the WORST methods!
