Go for it then...drop the tank. The strainer itself should be from 6-12 dollars.
If you're not doing it yourself, it's a waste of money to pay some shop gobs of money to do it every 15-20K when it's not really necessary.
Back to another question you had...a strainer does trap particles/contaminants. Why would you want to "knock them free""? Wouldn't that be defeating the purpose? It sounds like you are set on replacing the strainer.
