Complaint about aftermarket parts

Yep, I will say that the availability varies by country, but even in their US stores you'll find a decent selection of all wood pieces that are very nice for the money. You don't find too many places that offer contemporary/country Scandinavian furniture in the USA anymore. I'm not a fan of the most modern items but I like the warm look of their country pieces.

I've been to Sweden, Norway and Denmark a number of times and they really do know about design and good ergonomics too.
Our family had two mid 1980s SAAB 900 models and the seats while not looking anything fantastic were the most comfortable seats I ever have found in any car to date, even better than Volvo seats. Those cars were very underrated and under appreciated too. Still wish I had them.

Yesterday I installed the absolute cheapest new brake rotors I could find for my Veloster. $60 shipped for Autoshack brand for the PAIR! Nice packaging, came with instructions in English, great finish on the swept surfaces, nice clean machining.

I bought a set of Raybestos ceramic hybrid brake pads for $20 shipped off Ebaay.

Parts went on with no hassle. Drives very nice, no noise, strong braking performance. I did paint the rotor 'hats' to avoid seeing rust.

Time will tell if they last 75k like the stockers did.

Brakes tend to be an exception. Certainly, there are horror stories but if you stay with reputable sellers even the low dollar stuff seems ok for average use.

WHERE ARE AUTO SHACK AVAILABLE ???????? E-Bay use to carry that brand. I can't find it anywhere on the East Coast. GOOD CHEAP STUFF !!!!!!!!!! Please reply...

I agree that aftermarket brakes seem to hold up pretty well. I did Element 3 pads and the cheapest Raybestos rotors RA had at about 360,000 on the Xterra, and at 414,00 there still doing well. That includes 20K miles of the kid driving them in the city.....

Will those rotors last the 360K the originals did, doubt it. I am actually surprised they lasted this long. I am surprised the car has lasted this long also.

THANKYOU !!!! In the past, they got a bad rap....back in the early days of AutoShack.,,,like when they first started. But now, their parts are 20X better and DIRT CHEAP. 3 day free shipping to the door. I have 2 cars with AutoShack Quick Struts..all 4 wheels. They even threw in the swaybar links !!! Going on 6yrs/ 60k without a problem with them. No leaks, strut bearings are fine, the stance of the vehicle didn't change, and they ride fine. Great aftermarket brand !!!!! They come out of Canada. If their good enough for Canadian climate, their good enough for New York climate !!!!

50yr, I just purchased these rotors in a two pack off Ebaay a few weeks ago. Fast shipping. AutoShack is a seller name on Ebaay. The rotors shipped from Kingdom Auto Parts Ltd. 201 Iber Rd. Ottawa Ontario Canada K2S1E7.

Yep, there back ! Just checked now....... They were M.I.A.. for awhile on E-Bay. And if I can't find it on E-Bay, you guys supplied me AutoShacks website. Thanks everybody :) Yeah, their shipping is INSANE..Like 3 days tops and free to boot. ! :) I've been using their parts for years. Never had a wrong order or anything broken. Last set of rotors I used, I burned thru the pads in 60k, and re-used the rotors. Just pad slapped it. They weren't even warped !!!!! Cheap $ 25 rotors....go figure. Even the vent vanes weren't rusted out yet,,,,and I'm in the salt belt !!....I've had $85 rotors warp out in 3k ! AutoShack is my go to for aftermarket stuff :)

I didn't know which Rock thread to reply to. I just got a nice big order about 2.5 weeks ago. Remember, I'll load up the cart with anything and everything, until the shipping goes up, then I back that part out.

I got 3 air filters for the LS430, made by WIX. One of the three was opened, and had black marker writing on it. Clearly at minimum taken out of the box, which was crushed to boot.

For me, on an air filter, it's not obvious if installed and used. Not at least for some miles down the road. I went online, and rock immediately issued a refund. I know this happens a lot, and since they are not asset based, they have a hard time controlling this issue. But at least, zero hassles and to date, they've always made it right. And I understand, if in the middle of a job, this is a killer....

RA's website is a mess at this exact moment. I hope they're taking the holiday to update/IT housekeeping.

Presently the only Chevrolets that show for 1985 are the Citation and two other cars (no trucks). GMC goes as far as 2007 and no older

It's actually surprising how crippled I feel without their website. Parts Geek is obnoxious with three pop-ups in ten seconds and 1aauto has VERY shallow selection with REALLY high prices. Crazy.
