i bought the last two five quart jugs of 0/20 at my walmart here in ogdensburg ny yesterday for some reason the o/20 and the o/30 were across the isle from the rest of the mobil oils and priced two dollars cheaper.i wonder if they are clearing it out.you cant get any answers from the people there.

Some Wal-marts carry Mobil 1 0w20 and some don't. I have 3 Wal-marts in my area. One of them does not have it at all. One of them carries only the 5 quart jugs @ $23.50, and the last one only has the quarts available @ $6.17 apiece. I use 0w20 and of course the Wal-mart that has the 5 quart jugs is the furthest away. I bought 3 last time I was there and now I have 2 extra ones in my basement. For $23.50 you can't beat it. I had been using Valvoline syn power 0w20 but can only find it in a quart for $6.37 apiece. Mobil 1 from now on to save lots of $.

And the "Valvoline NextGen maxlife" high mileage oil, with its green and grey bottle, 5w30 is presently talking to me right now.. does anyone know what kind of oil this is based on (the blend or the full synthetic maxlife?) Its priced exactly the same as the "regular" maxlife

Word of advice from the other side of the altar: Tell her to get used to it. Then when you're married, you can say "You knew how I was before we got married!"

All of my local walmarts carry it, and if they didn't before, it comes in 5-Quart Gallon jugs for $23.50 in metro-Atlanta right now. 0w-20 API-SN, that is. Impressive oil, good used oil analysis on this oil.

If you can get to a nearby bigger city, try to hit up their walmarts on a trip. If within 50 miles round trip with a FE vehicle, you still may come out ahead instead of buying the single quarts.

Otherwise, bite the bullet if you have to at oil change time.

The really nice thing about oil is that your steady brand will forgive you and take you back if your head gets turned one day in Walmart by a cute young thing in a pretty bottle.
