Coil overs installed at a professional shop. Image shows a wire embedded between the top hat and upper coil over mount bracket. Unable to pull out wire or see the other end. Did the top hat deform around the wire when the bolts were tightened? If not, could one or two bolts eventually loosen because the top hat does not bear directly against the bracket?

It is probably not doing any harm but if you want it out just put it under load with a jack and loosen (not remove) the top nut a little, remove the wire and tighten.

I would call the shop that installed them and ask what the wires purpose is for.
The other side does not have a wire. No one installs a wire strand between a top hat and mounting bracket. I'm wondering if the tech used wire to help hold up the coil over assembly while installing it and somehow forgot or didn't bother to remove it, and clipped off the free end.

I've saw the coil over assembly before it was installed. There are three (3) nuts that attach the coil over to the bracket. The wire must be laying in between the coil over assembly and bracket. It appears to me those three nuts have to be loosened to remove the wire. I don't have a floor jack.

I agree with Trav, I wouldn't sweat it. Try and yank it out with some pliers if you want, but it's probably not going to bother anything over the long term.
