14 oz, yes cork on outside. Coffee stayed hot a good while!
I like it. I started using the Starbucks reusable plastic 16oz. cups. They weren't cheap, but they're decent quality and the snap on lids fit well and don't leak. Then I found an Amazon seller that sells blank ones, made in the USA. I bought 6. I use neoprene insulated sleeves as the plastic is hot to the touch. I can't drink coffee out of stainless steel so the Yeti and similar are no go.

Why not stainless? Just curious.

Wife tells me we tried both ^^^ (she is right). I need a dark roast. As I got older my hair lighter and coffee much darker 🙄
On top of that, now just a dash of organic skim milk and never any sugar, a complete reversal from decades ago.

Anyway, Amazon still out of stock for the 2Lb Dark Roast.
Giving this a try. Will arrive next week and hopefully try it by the end of that week as we use up the Amazon brand. I dont like paying more for fancy packaging, I hope the coffee is as good as the package.
I have tried others of Copper Moon in the past hopefully this one lives up to my expectations.

Looks good. How much?
At the top of what I am willing to pay. $10 Lb.
2 Lb bag $19.98 (free ship)
Update. Im not in love with Copper Moon Sumatra in my post above. My wife has no problem with it. It's a tad lighter than Amazon dark roast, maybe not as flavorful, using the same standard of measurement to grind as the Amazon Dark Roast>
What bothers me a little is at the price $10 Lb there seems to be a lot of fragmented bits and pieces of beans. Im not used to seeing that with the darker and much less expensive Amazon Dark Roost.

Some might like it, I dont think it is bitter in anyway. Im not a coffee expert by any means. Just like what I do. I like nice dark roast just shy of a French roast I would say. The Copper Moon doesnt do that for me and I dont like seeing a lot of fragmented beans.

However I can see as I sit here drinking it how some people might enjoy it.
BTW- I have 4LBS of Amazon Dark Roast Ordered as it seems it's back in stock. It wasnt supposed to arrive for a few weeks into May but I see it is out for delivery today. $6.75 a Lb I enjoy this coffee and I like that the beans are mostly whole and no little fragmented bits and pieces.

Just in time, maybe next week I will use the Copper Moon on our visitors *LOL* I mean it still tastes ok and they might like the "lighter" flavor. It might taste more closer to the Costco Columbian if I remember correctly.

I have noticed on Amazon that they will not ship one bag, it will show out of stock unless you click on the two pack.

Been trying different local fresh roasted beens lately and making a pour over each morning. Also went through a bag of Dunkin’ Donuts whole bean. Actually the dunkin was pretty good. The Hyperion kinda had a a sour taste until I lowered the water temp. The mighty good is really good but had to grind a little caoarser and raise water up to 198 degrees. All brewed at 16:1 ratio which for me is 18 grams of beens 288 grams of water. I people here like details so I gave a few details. You have to adjust grind size and water temp and sometimes the ratio depending on the coffee you are using and your preferences. Nice ritual to start the day and much better than drinking the pod coffees I use to drink

My latest haul. The USAWA AA is the one I'm most interested in. It took a week to ship and it's almost ready. @john_pifer what grind level on an Ode 2 and temperature do you recommend l start with? I'm thinking of level 4 and 202F with the Hario V60.

Wow, awesome!

I think 202°F is a good temp to start with. If after trying that, it needs a boost in acidity/punch to make things more interesting, you can go up a few degrees. Sometimes light roast washed coffees even need 210°-212°F to extract well.

4 on the Ode 2 sounds pretty fine. Did you just get that grinder? Have you tried that grind level before?

High-grown African coffees usually produce a lot of fines, so normally need to be ground a bit coarser.

What volume of coffee are you brewing? Do you use a high or low agitation method?
