CNN Article on Motor Oil Shortage

Over the years I have found certain oils out of stock at Wal Mart.

Not necessarily surprising to see certain flavors of oil not in stock at local wal marts. Lots of intense algorithms and vendor control , and contractual agreements that impact what stores get what oil, and the sense of urgency.

Quite sure Wal Marts in Southern California will always get the priority of fill for euro blended oils, when compared to a wal mart in southwest Kansas.
It's all about who gets what for sure but I don't think I've seen WM's "Low Stock" on this many engine oils so I can't say we're in a normal situation right now. I won't go as far as "Dooms day" either but it is getting my attention. I've bought my next oil change that's for sure!

You can see here the long list:

The shared info on this thread is enough for me to think..... It will not hurt me to stock up a little more now.
Even though I have enough on hand already for the next 3-4 oil changes. I certainly have the room to store a bit more so why not?

I would. I probably would grab some of the Castrol for 24-26$ if I was in a pinch. This event may spread beyond 2027.

Yup. I see no reason not to if someone has the ability and the storage space. As I type this I have to :ROFLMAO:laugh:ROFLMAO: at myself because I am talking about stocking up on motor oil when I am not at all or have ever been one of those "preppers" who prepare for the end of the world!"
