Clutch Master Cylinder for Mazda5 - Recommendations?

When I was replacing the blower motor on Jr's Mazda5 in November, I noticed a bit of seepage near the clutch pedal assembly, at the top where the clutch master cylinder comes through the firewall. I didn't have the motivation to do anything about it at the time - the blower motor just about did me in.

This morning the clutch pedal was very soft. I limped the car into the garage and up onto ramps, and bled a fair bit of air out of the slave cylinder on the transmission housing. The reservoir, which also serves the brakes, was quite low on fluid. I had to get the air out with a large syringe and a piece of vacuum hose.

Anyway, the clutch pedal is firm again, but it's time to order a clutch master cylinder.

Here are the choices from Rock Auto. Please help me decide.

Thanks!

Amazon listing shows the B/A product as made in Italy, and the FTE in Germany. Who knows if either are correct today.

FTE is German company with quite a bit of EU manufacturing. They are now owned by Valeo.

I think this is the Mazda part (BP4K-41-400E) made in Germany. US price is around $145.

😳 Yikes, at that price I'd love to find a local rebuilder - it's likely just a bad o-ring or similar.

I phoned a local shop that rebuilds hydraulic cylinders. They said they don't usually do this type of work, but to drop off the part and they would see. If the leak remains relatively minor, I will hold off until the weather improves.

Crazy pricing as in why in the world would Dorman (which they list as economy) be the most expensive?
Our Mazda 5 has an auto trans and it has been great. If you ever replace the master cylinder you will need a good diagnostic tool so you can.rum.the ABS motor after you pump the pedal up. That worked on ours. Love our Mazdas.

I would go with OE only, having one fail on the road can be a real PITA. Aftermarket parts quality in general has become pretty shoddy in the last years.
Have you had any success rebuilding these?

I might have to go OE, as with the blower motor in November, as I definitely don't want to do this job more than once.

Fortunately this will be the clutch MC, so the ABS shouldn't be affected.
