We have some sections that are under trees and get black mold & mildew. There are a row of bushes planted next to the fence.

Electric pressure washer got it 50% better but it's no where near "clean".

Spraying a bleach solution would damage the plants.

One suggestion was vinegar and water applied with cloth. Need to try

On another section I have tried one of the "Wet and Forget" products that works over time and is ammonia based.

I have gas pressure washer if all it takes is more PSI?

The Wet & Forget products would be the easiest. I can paint it on with a foam brush and not get much on plants But wife will not want to wait months for it to work.

Other ideas?

Rubber gloves, bucket 'o bleach solution, coarse toweling (those blue ones doctors use to clean road rash incidents) rinse.

I think you're at the 'elbow grease' stage. A foam cannon won't do it unless ridiculously powerful chemicals are used.

When I clean the same items, I wet down what I want to clean, Then with a soft bristle brush on a stick I scrub it with a 50/50 solution of water and bleach. It comes off super easy and the bleach leaves enough residue, to prevent it growing back for the rest of the year. I haven't hurt the grass or plants arong where I cleaned yet.,,,

Wet the plants in question first, keep them wet while working. A 50/50 mix of bleach and water applied and washed off with the power washer after about a 10 minute soak should get the job done. Once compete rinse all plants and the fence with water.

I use a gas powered (3100 PSI) on the never ending vinyl rails
that are on the decks/stairs of our house on piers.
Never had an issue with removing any mold or mildew.
