a few years back they got bought out by Black magic, and it's no where near the same product.

a few years back they got bought out by Black magic, and it's no where near the same product.
I use cheapo wheel cleaner on the wide whitewalls on my Harley. Spray on a rag and just wipe the dirt off.,,

I second the scrubbing with degreaser comment. Do that, rinse, then repeat so the rinse water is clear. Then spray them with some protectant after they dry.
Just be cautious with tire bleach or degreaser if you have alloy rims. You may need to rinse them off quickly as most of these products can cause corrosion.
That said, I did use westly's bleach-white for years on my Outback with alloys. I always tried to be careful where it ended up, and rinsed ASAP.

Good advice. Don't let degreaser dry on your rims.

Did they really? Maybe they are just nowusing the name? As per the rear label on an old, original Westley's bottle: "for that deep, rich, wet look, apply Black Magic Super Thick Silicone after cleaning tires."
