I've noticed that there is little to no information on these oil filters.I hear the pros and cons of these filters.Many motorcycle owners use these filters.I have one but I'm not putting it back on my Jeep.One company PurePower states that many companies use these filters and that the military/Nascar and others also use them.These filters also past strict FAA tests.I read that Amsoil and Fram looked at these filters from PurePower.I would think that if these filters are being used in the military and by piston aircraft and Boeing they must be safe to use.I would like to hear from PurePower and where they stand on this issue.

"I read that Amsoil and Fram looked at these filters from PurePower."

And yet they don't sell a similar product...

You don't re-use toilet paper in the bathroom. Sometimes throwing things away rather than attempting to clean them is the best solution. Most filter media falls into this category.

Most on here seem to BLAST these types of filters for;

either not being 'efficient' enough (not filtering down to small enough particles in microns), or for not having enough capacity (total amount in grams of dirt/particles).

Lastly, they will debase them for costing what they do, and for having to clean them out with harsh solvents, etc.

I too would like to know more from those who have used them, but everyone on here just dismisses them as useless, expensive, 'snake oil-like' garbage.

(I am speaking of the stainless mesh media types, NOT the 'toilet paper' media type!)

I have one.They are easy to clean.I have a extra filter.There are many companies who use these and I would think that if they do cause major problems they would not be in business.Ford uses these filter in europe.Amsoil/Fram wanted PurePower to remove it's name from the filter if amsoil/Fram sold them.I want to see a long term test of these filters after using them for about 50-100,000 miles.I clean mine when I used it with soap/water.The filter element I spray with simple green or orange/citrus cleaner.
