I'm going to use my PurePower cleanable/reusable oil filter for a 6K oil change interval.I'm also using Mobil 1 motor oil. When I get my oil tested by Oilanlyzers what should I look for? I know silicon level is important but what wear metals to look for?are there any other areas to look at.If it comes back great I'll debate wheather to continue it's use. Thanks Joe

This should be interesting. Do you have any UOA data using a high efficiency filter, like a PureOne, to compare results to?

It would really be good to have at least 2 used oil analysis with a conventional filter , this way you have a base line to work from.

You need particle counts done or rating an oil filter is very difficult. Yes insols tell you a little, but not much. It is also extremely helpful to do a VOA w/ particle count before you do the run. So basically it is an expensive proposition to do it somewhat scientifically.

Oh. And silicon is going to tell you more about air filtration than oil filtration.
