I love old stuff. Somebody at work brought this in for me. It's unopened. I thought I'd share it with you. Judging from the style, it looks like something from the 70s.

That is REALLYY cool! Don't open it!

Looks a competitor to STP, trying to cash in on the success of the 'blue can'...I'd agree it's from the mid-1970's.

Probably not as they are from IN and the can is from TX.

This can reminds me of how Forrest Lucas tells how he got started with his HD Oil Stabilizer..... He found an old drum of some random product and tracked down the manufacturer - it was basically straight VII then started bottling and selling it. That was around the late 70's if I remember correctly. Based on what the can says on the back, it seems to be just that (maybe watered down with a little straight 80 or something.) -- you could start a new additive company if you wanted !!

When we cleared out my dad's speedshop I cam across a case of oil treatment called SPOTOIL. I opened a can as they were all really rusty and it was thin. Probably was a solvent based additive like Rislone. Wish I would have kept a can or two for shelf decoration in my garage.

It appears to be post Carter years ('76-80) since that is when we first started adding metric measurements to goods. I think that square headlights first hit the US in about '76. So, my guess is late 70s or early 80s. I don't remember the product. Do you know if it was marketed nationally? I do remember "Classic Car Wax". It had a black label and a paint-can style lid.
