Just changed the factory fill with Delo 15w40,after dumping all 10 quarts I noticed it was CI-4 instead of CJ...I read on a diesel forum CJ rated must be used or I'll plug my dpm or some such thing???? HELP!!! My first diesel ever and I don't know what to do???

Do you have the '07 LBZ "Classic" or the '07.5 LMM GMT-900? If it's the '07 Classic you're fine, if it's the
'07.5 LMM you better change it pronto. FYI, I own an '07 Classic LBZ...

Many 07 diesels have an 06 engine. 07 diesel engines require CJ, where 06 and older can use CJ, but CI is preferred by most. Check owners manual, oil cap, manufacturing stickers with oil recommendations or call Chevy with your VIN # handy.

It's an 07 Classic....So I think I'm ok according to BoiseRob,I will check owners manual when I get home just to be sure.....

Best to double check. From the Amsoil site:
2007 CHEVROLET TRUCKS SILVERADO 2500 HD CLASSIC 6.6L 8-cyl Engine Code D TurboDiesel
Engine Oil
Grade 1......CJ-4
Synthetic 5W-40 Premium Diesel Oil
Above 0°F......15W-40, 10w30[1]
Below 0°F......5W-40[2]
1. 15w40 is preferred.
2. at TEMPS below -18 °C (0 °F), use 5W-40 to improve cold.
starting.
