Chryster Pacifica oil consumption--which oil now?

I like the piston soak idea. I'll definitely give it a try.

I can't find Kano Labs products available in Canada. Has anyone used the reformulated GM cleaner with good results? We do have a BG dealer I just found but the site looks like it's geared to business. I'll email then and see if they sell retail or where I might get it. MMO and Seafoam have mixed reviews here. Would they be of any help as a piston soak?

Good idea, or at least a piston soak.

A Kreen treatment wouldn't hurt either.

+1

And I vote for number 8.

You have enough miles that wear is starting to show its head. Rotella T6 is synthetic (USA Style anyway). It's modestly priced and easy to get. It's not quite the full 40 of say Delvac 15W-40, but it's more than most 30's at op temp. Call it a 35...

BG109 added for a few oil changes after the Kreen treatment

i had a 4.7 engine in our 2004 grand cherokee. same issue at aprox the same mileage. i believe you need valve seals. thicker oil will slow it down.
