Was there any particualr year in which they corrected the issues with the grounds deteriorating?

I have been binge watching South Main Auto and Pine Hollow youtube channels and it appears that the wiring rots away from the eyelets. On the fords im just not seeing this issue. Any reason why it is so manufacture specific?

I've watched enough WWW, SMA and PHAD videos to confidently say

All of them 🙄

It's a running joke that if you jump start a Mopar, you get second hand electrical problems
TIPMs malfunction everytime there's a week in the month

I remember talking to an engineer in the mid/late 90s who worked for Dodge on the Neon (compact car for those who don't know). They had electrical shorts/fires in the steering column back then in the Neon.. Turns out no one at Dodge/Chrysler even checked the quality the supplier was sending them!! Just installed it.. I also think they just spec'd out cheap/low quality wiriing, doesn't look like anything has changed.

How many of these are because an unknowing owner bought a vehicle that had been submerged from a hurricane and someone got the title cleaned up and sold the vehicle as a plain used vehicle?

You must of watched the same episode on the Jeep.. I pretty sure I've seen that same ground fixed on multiple channels. One by the airbox. They tend to rot from the inside out.. same issue as the Neon above? Just low quality parts.

They use enough ground to start and operate the car under basic warranty. No more no less. Redundant grounds I install quite often on mopars. Easy PM low $ repair if you don’t have to pay a tow bill and diag for a no start ahead of time
