Chinese Robots

Yes Chinese vehicles
Don't know about their robots-but if you are referring to other things coming out of China you are sadly mistaken-or worse. When Canada starts importing their automobiles-you will see they are not junk.
Chinese vehicles have come a long way, but.... From actual information coming out that they don't last nearly like claimed.

Hyundais were disposable at one point too. Continuous improvement has made them a viable alternative. I don't believe the Chinese are going to stumble in North America-I really don 't.

Is this even real or another AI propeganda campaign?
Exactly. Even in a world of AI, human nature is such that people still just blindly believe what they see, hear, or read without confirmable evidence, as we have for thousands of years.

In any case, future warfare will not need troops except for occupation and clean-up after the battle is won.

Are you saying this is AI generated?

Well the good thing about “equipment” is you don’t really have to worry about its rights and the rules of warfare. Set it on fire. Use explosive ammunition. And who cares if a robot surrenders or is a non combatant. Destroy it indiscriminately and with extreme prejudice. Geneva Convention. Huh. Sorry never heard of it C-3PO.

Until the bots are serialized gear and the CO makes you go retrieve them, cause you signed for it and all.

We currently have the systems and technology to prevent the movie "The Terminator" from becoming true. But not for much longer. Our political systems are not designed for it. A single unified entity with an achievable short term plan and a long term vision is hard to overcome.

Oh boy, Pete Hegseth want's Anthropic to remove all their "guard rails" on their AI and allow use for all "legal" uses:

The double-edged sword has swung. It makes sense because we have no way to know if the Chinese robots won't use AI for all "legal" purposes either. This is going in a direction I hope we are all ready and equipped for, both mentally and philosophically.

When the machine makes the decision to shoot, who is to blame if it targets the wrong "thing" or does an illegal act.

Reactions: Pew
“In 2024, Chinese factories installed roughly 300,000 new industrial robots. American factories installed 30,000. Today, there are now more than 2 million industrial robots working in Chinese factories. In the U.S., the number is one-fifth that,” says Rush Doshi, director of CFR’s China Strategy Initiative and assistant professor at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service.
“China is investing in the future, it’s pulling ahead in research publications and patent filings, and pouring hundreds of billions of dollars into the robotics sector.” - Rush Doshi

It's called dark factories - there is no need to have the lights on for the robots to do the manufacturing.
