Chinese digital calipers and battery life

I have the same problems with my digital calipers. To make matters worse, pulling the battery out at every use has broken the tabs on the battery covers. Ugh.

I think mine did the same thing. But the battery is pretty snug in mine (357 battery size?) and has yet to fall out.

Power draw is pretty low though, so if you use on a daily basis you could probably just get in the habit of replacing every few months--or to make it easy, the start of every new month.

I've dealt with this battery issue as well, and thanks to this thread I have a vintage Fowler/Helios 6" Imperial/Metric dial caliper arriving today!

When I got my Limit caliper, the battery lasted a couple of years, now they only last a few weeks - so batteries and not the caliper for me.
