Chevron Supreme high mileage?

Last night I noticed some new oil on the shelf at the store...Chevron Supreme "high mileage". I was thinking about using Pennzoil high mileage in my old Chevy 350, however, the Chevron is cheaper and I've been using the "blue bottle" Chevron for years.

I'm just curious, is this new from Chevron, or just new where I shop? Any reason to choose Chevron or Pennzoil besides the packaging?

Never seen it before.

Chevron Supreme has shown to be one of the best dinos out there.

Probably on par or superior to Pennzoil.

If I was looking to use a High Mileage oil I'd give it a shot. I've never had a problem with any Chevron product that I've used, so I wouldn't hesitate to try their High Mileage oil if I was in the market for some.

...That being said I can't recall ever having a problem with any SOPUS product that I've used either

I'm torn. I'm brand loyal to both.

They both come in a pretty gold bottle.

Chevron Supreme in the past seems to be often the cheapest name brand oil, with a good reputation.

As I understand it the "high mileage" oils are a little less EPA friendly than others, correct?

High Mileage oils can be less environmentally friendly, it depends on how it was made.

In some cases the viscosity and HTHS are higher, and that is proved because there is no "Energy Conserving" mark in the API Donut.

Also, the manufacturer might put in more ash-causing additives, but you will need a VOA to know for sure.
