Good afternoon folks. GO CHARGERS also!

Thinking of either Chevron supreme 5w20 since its $12.20 at my wal mart or Super Tech 5W20.

Seems Chevron Supreme is or was held in high regard here. Thanks in advance. Price wouldn't matter since I have about $300 in Wal mart gift cards. Just asking as I think I'm overthinking motor oil for the Camry

Adam my local Toyota Stealership uses Chevron as their in house brand if you don't request synthetic. But if I were you I'd stick with Full Synthetic we are talking hundreds of cents per mile.

If they both meet the same specs you need, there will be no difference.

Personally I think the Super Tech Synthetic in any viscosity is great value for money. The Chevron Supreme is good oil but I'd run the Super Tech Synthetic over it in almost all situations.

Good point Luke and I believe Gokhan said the 0w20 or 5w20 Super Tech Syn is some gtl of correct. Hopefully he chimes in to verify

Agree with the Synthetic posts. You can buy it so cheap nowadays, delivered to your house to-boot.
Kinda becomes a no brainer to me...

back in the day CS had a ton of moly when that was in vogue...and we bought it at Checker Auto Parts for .49qt.

Funny question to ask because I constantly go back and forth between super tech and chevron supreme. Both are good quality stuff and if I could only pick 1 out of the two I would get chevron every time but Im very confident that super tech is a good product that if they dont have chevron on the shelf that day I will buy super tech and put it into any one of my vehicles.

A quick update on this one-Chevron has a new $5/jug rebate that is usable on Amazon-who just happens to have 3 5 qt. jugs for $33.58-$15 MIR=$17.58 or $5.86/jug. Move fast, there's only SEVEN left! Yes, I got mine already!

Yeah even when the price jumped .99 it was still a great deal.

Don't believe OP ever mentioned that the Supertech was synthetic.

SO, TO CLARIFY is it smart of me to buy 3 5qt jugs of CHEVRON supreme at $12 from wal mart and use the rebate?

Thanks

Its not going to matter so whatever is cheaper. I prefer ST because it's almost always readily available and very reasonably priced. Last time I bought some it was $15.88 for a 5 quart jug of full synthetic 0w20.
