My 05 Grand Caravan calls for 5W-20, so I bought some Chevron 5W-20 (.99/quart) but I was wondering if anyone else has used this grade of chevron? On the bottle it says it meets honda/ford specs but says nothing about chrysler does anyone have any info on this? 5 bottles of this and a $5 Wix filter makes for a pretty cheap oil change.

Yeah it's always on sale, I think it gets people in the store to buy other stuff (CSK), it seems to work.

Man I wish I could get my hands on some .99/qt Chevron...

Chevron oil is on sale and rebate at Kragen's for $0.49/qt AT LEAST twice a month. If I'm gonna pay $0.99/qt, I'll get the Castrol GTX on sale and rebate. Remember, those coupons are only in the Sat/Sun paper.

Consider yourself lucky to be able to get chevron 5w20 and at such a great price...up here in Alberta you can't find that stuff or the Havoline 5w20. I'm hearing those oils are cream of the crop for dino.

I use both Chevron and Havoline 5w30 and get good results at a great price with moly and Gr11+. But the oil shears out of grade in 1500 mi and tbn's quick to go. Looks like the 5-20 is a more shear resistant but I assume that is required to meet ford specs or you'd be running 10w.
