Mobil is pushing this oil as not only a fuel efficient oil, but an oil that is ideal for high reving engines. I guess they assume HP increases with this oil. I might have to give it a shot. If clearances havn't changed, then any car with a 30wt. could run it. My car is getting old, it's time to experiment.

I think this oil is going to be good. It's only a 20pt spread, like M1 10w-30, and should be a solid oil.

I think time will tell us for sure. Until then I am sticking with 10w-30. UOA's look good so far!

Haven't tried the Mobil 1 as we use Synergyn 0W-20 for the most part. Son is now using German Castrol 0W-30 and mpg is down over 1 (nearly 2) and on this 2.0L Ford Zetec dohc you can feel a revving/performance drop. Slight but noticeable.

Wonder if anyone knows where I can get the 0W-20 Mobil 1 oil in the Sacramento/Roseville Ca. area?? I have been trying with no success. Thanks.

Funny, this 0W20 looks a lot like the NEO 0W5 we talked about before on another thread. It was brought up that the NEO is really a 20 wt. oil.

Pour Point: M1 0W20 = -57C; NEO 0W5 = -62C

Flash Point: M1 0W20 = 232C; NEO 0W5 = 226C

Viscosity Index: M1 0W20 = 165; NEO 0W5 = 180

Heck half the oils we see shear down to 20 wt. anyway.
