Maybe it's just seen about 15 OCIs and they keep putting a little more ugga dugga on each time.

DANGIT! I saw the original post and photos, then the post by YOU, and remembered that I meant to replace the drain plug gasket during the last oil and filter change on my 93 Silverado because I distinctly remember (now) that during the next to last oil change I was giving the oil drain plug gasket the stink eye and decided it WAS going to be replaced the very next oil change. I guess I need to hang a new gasket from my dang rear view mirror or get a new plug and gasket and perform an "oil plug shuffle". (I hope my manual dexterity is still up to the job and I dont go brain dead and attempt to do it after the oil is up to temp).
