HF used to have 100 for $6 but that's ceased.

Other stores sell them in lots of 10-25 for a bad unit price.

Home Depot? Walgreens? Anyone?

I'm the cheap sort who reuses them a few times if they survive.

I'm in the same boat as you. I might check AAP and see how much they sell them for. Then grab $25 worth and use the $10 off coupon if that makes them worth the price after the coupon is applied.

Ive found that the heavier ones have a much better survival rate than the thin ones with low plasticizer in them (like china freight). Makes the overall cost superior...

I believe that it's a 100 gloves, not 100 pair.

I prefer their dark blue thick vinyl gloves, which last many sessions and really protect your hands. The black nitrile gloves have a pretty good feel, but usually only last one session. The light blue nitrile glove are about half as sturdy as the black, and aren't worth the slight savings.

Their white latex gloves used to be OK, but usually snagged and split. We've give up on them since the last few boxes have been so bad that many gloves split while putting them on.

These are not the cheapest but Gempler's has a good selection of gloves up to 20 mil

8 mil gloves are great for working on stuff but they are pricey. If you tear up gloves often while working the actual cost may not be that different.

Since we have a HF here I've bought their gloves. The white ones are a joke, but the black ones I've had decent luck with and the blue ones also. Since I don't use them more than once either one is good for me.

You should see our shop cost per month for nitrile gloves. It's insanely high. But the shop is required to provide proper protective gear, including gloves.

We have the black kind, boxes of 100, offshore made. They hold up fairly well, except they often tear when working in tight engine areas.

I end up using a lot more in the summertime, because they make your hands sweat like crazy. And who wants to put back on a pair of wet clammy gloves.

A lot of old timers in the shop won't wear em', I don't see why. Washing your hands 20 times per day is a PITA, and having that junk soak into your skin is no bueno.

Don't bother with nitrle. The rip easily in cold weather, or tight spaces. The best gloves I've ever used to work on cars are
Microflex Diamond Grip. They are 9 mil's thick at the finger tips, and have texture on the tips as well. I typically only need 1 pair when working on a project. The just don't rip. I found these when I worked for the Toyota dealer. You can buy them at autozone for 13 bucks a box, or $100.00 a case on ebay, and amazon.
Here is a link about them:

My local Harbor Freight wants $10 a box now. I will have to check these out... Maybe not, I just noticed they are latex.
