Chasing a rubbing noise on my Camry

I have a 2000 Camry V6 that I’ve owned since November of 2023. I’ve replaced nearly all maintenance items but just cannot seem to figure out a noise I experience. After about an hour or so of driving, when coming to a slow stop I’ll hear and feel a rubbing noise coming from the left front. I can feel the vibration of the noise in the brake pedal and some of it in the steering.

The car doesn’t pull to either side, nor does it pull to either side when braking. I changed the brakes with Centric rotors and Advics pads and used a Dorman caliper slide pin boot and bushing kit.

It’s hard to describe, but the noise makes a “THUUM THUUM” noise, and can increase if I’m braking while going over bumps. It’s almost like a deep “thumming” noise like when you drag a chair leg’s on the kitchen floor (like a deep bassy sound). Almost feels like the pad is gliding on the rotor instead of biting into it.

I changed the wheel bearings as well with NSK Japan since that’s what was on the car. I don’t think I over-pressed them and even if I did, I don’t have any symptoms of a bad wheel bearing. Tires are new as well.

The. Only thing that comes to mind are the ceramic pads are somewhat “slipping” against the rotor after driving for an hour or so.

Any ideas?
