So I decided to run some autoRX through my car. I just changed the oil on Tuesday and since then put a little over 100 miles on it. Would you wait until my next oil change or add it now?

Got a new car. 43k but 10 years old, mainly short trips rarely driven. I changed the oil and now people on this forum convinced me to run auto-rx. Now I am just unsure if I should use it now or wait since it is usually used at the time of the oil change.

No need to drain out the oil just install the A R/X and follow the instructions I have and do use the A R/X and had great results. Get the car out and exercise it real good..

If your engine is operating well, DON'T add ANYTHING EXCEPT WHAT THE MANUFACTURER tell you to..
I get so sick of certain posters constantly recommending Marvel Mystery Oil, AutoRX ,and other snake oil that most likely will not solve a problem, it will likely create a new problem!
If you want to use something with more detergent than a typical gasoline engine oil you could probably get away with using an HDEO oil for diesels like Shell Rotella T for a change, but even then I wouldn't use it too often...

You won't hurt anything with ARX as it is a very slow non corrosive cleaner. Use it but watch your oil filter so it doesn't clog. Not a bad idea IMO for a short tripper engine.

LOL I guess we have something in common. I get sick of posters who never tried a product and bash it, or call it snake oil. A-rX and MMO have quite a following here, and by long time members who seem to know about engines. To each his own I guess.
To the OP A-rX can be added 100 miles into an Oil Change w/o a problem. You can also add MMO 1000 miles before you plan on changing your oil. Cars driven mostly on short trips probably need some kind of cleaning, at least cars I've seen that friends own. Either product won't hurt your engine. Good luck.

If you already bought it then add it. After about 2-2.5k miles you may need to change the oil filter. Make sure you go on nice long drives to heat the oil up so the ARX can work. Do a 5k miles oci on it so it has more time to work if your car needs it.

I don't see car manufacturers suggesting using ANY oil additive mentioned around here as far as I can remember.
For most cars, especially those maintained by those on this forum there's a good chance that the engine is very clean and need no attention of anykind except oil changes as usual.
A high detergent oil HDEO like Rotella might be one thing that any car maker would accept as safe, but not this other stuff.
IF all the hight priced engineers at car makers don't recommend this other additive stuff then I won't go there either.
