I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan which the remote control receiver inside the canopy base just died recently. It is a 7067FM model and I can either replace it with
a generic universal (yellow one on amazon) for around $30,
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Ceiling-...ing+fan+control
the same 7067 module for around $50-60,
http://www.amazon.com/UC7067RC-UC7067-Remote-Receiver-Hampton/dp/B01CZMAQJ0
or a Lutron wall control kit for around $55.

The universal one seems to have good review and may even be identical inside as the 7067FM from Hampton Bay, and I'm not sure if the Hampton bay unit is good quality or not as it last only about 7 years. I would like to try the wall control kit from Lutron so I don't have to deal with the hand held remote like the others, and from my understanding Lutron is a good quality brand, but I'm not sure if it is actually the case or if it is just a perception.
Any recommendation?
