Valvoline is foreign owned? I thought they were from USA based out of Kentucky. Both brands are ho-hum at best and foreign owned. Why limit yourself.
The Saudi state oil company Aramco bought them. Quite a while ago.Valvoline is foreign owned? I thought they were from USA based out of Kentucky.
Castrol is on the selling block, by BP.I think Valvoline is owned by a middle eastern country while Castrol is a UK company, not sure.
The home team.My question was which product family would you choose if it came down to Castrol or Valvoline?
I noticed Castrol has a good following here with many stating it has a high quality base stock. As for Valvoline I only see posts about R&P. Not too many on their other oils.
WOW! I did not know this, thanks. The Saudi state oil company Aramco bought them. Quite a while ago.

“Valvoline Inc. is an American retail automotive services company based in Lexington, Kentucky.”
PIF ?There’s a whole lot of dudes that watch football and grill burgers on the deck in between Walmart and the Saudis. Valvoline for me.
GTX Full Syn seems like a pointless product right now, considering on the shelf at Walmart it is currently only one cent cheaper than black bottle Edge per jug. Edge is the higher tier product so why not choose that?Castrol GTX full synthetic, 5000 oci or 6 months, whichever comes first. Otherwise, if you are going to do the forever oci thing, use the Castrol Edge EP, gold bottle and change every 10,000 miles max or 1 year, whatever comes first. Use a premium filter. There is my opinion.
IIRC - The Saudi Public Investment Fund sold its Walmart stake last year …PIF ?
Castrol is a uk company being taken over by middle eastern countriesI think Valvoline is owned by a middle eastern country while Castrol is a UK company, not sure.
