Castrol Syntec Blend..$11/5Qt Good deal?

Castrol Syntec blend is on clearance at my Walmart for $11 for 5 quarts..

Is this a good deal....? Is this a Group III oil? I am not very familiar with Castrol products...
It only 10w30

Can I use it in my SUV that calls for 5w30???

Great deal considering their Castrol GTX conventional is $16 here in NY.

Thats a very good deal, the dino version of castrol sells for 14.50 in my neck of the woods.

Yes it's a good deal and I see no problem using it in a 5w30 recommended vehicle. Most all vehicles I've seen that call for 5w30 also have something in the manual saying you can use 10w30 above freezing.

It's a dino with a slightly higher GRP III add.

It's a decent price, but I'd spend the extra five bucks and get a full-on GRP III oil like PP, or even Syntec 100% synthetic.

I found some Syntec Blend last year for $10 for a box of 6 quarts at my local Walmart. I bought $50 worth and it was only there for two days. They had around 8 boxes. Its my current stash...should last for a couple more years.

It's a decent oil, but nothing spectacular IMO. But, for $11, hard to beat!

I just bought some and currently doing a search on Syntec Blend.

There were 3 5qt jugs priced at $11 each, so I figured I'd try one. Took it to the counter and it rang up as $7, so I got the other two and offered them to friends and family as I only really cared to just try it once.

Is it being discontinued? Did Edge coming out have something to do with it?
