Long story short:

Awhile back,I switched from M1 HM 10W40 to M1 15W50,my car suddenly started leaking from the rear main. Did a couple oci`s of Edge Syntec 10W40,and now the leak has almost completely stopped. I`d thought about running an oci of Maxlife blend (red bottle) 10W40 to see if that would stop it completely. But,I love the way my car runs on the Syntec, and the fact that the leak has almost stopped. How does Maxlife compare to Syntec quality wise? Would it be a gamble to use a high mileage oil now that the leak has virtually stopped?

Going to swing by Walmart and buy either or jug of oil this weekend. Which one would you choose and why?

If the Edge is working for you, don't mess with success.

Maxlife is the original HM oil and still among the best. And of course it costs less than any synthetic, and is even on sale at WM now.

Go for the Maxlife and don't look back.

maxlife is cheaper and is one of the best if not the best HM oil out there....

Valvoline often puts coupons online , i got maxlife for about 10.50 a few months back.

Is the Edge (syntec) really that thick? I've been hearing about people using it for different things...most recently a higher milage Cavalier. He says it's the best it has ever run on a synthetic.

My cars tend to be older tech....so this tends to interest me.
